In Four Days: Our Narrow Hiding Places

Some exciting updates!

Hey everyone! I promise to have a real newsletter post for you soon, but in the meantime here are some quick announcements/updates:

• Our Narrow Hiding Places (my new novel from Ecco/HarperCollins) will be in stores everywhere in just five short days - Tuesday 8/13. If you still want to preorder, you can get it sent right to your door by calling your local independent bookseller or going to Bookshop.org, Barnes & Noble, or Amazon.com!

• On Saturday, 8/10, tune into CBS Saturday Mornings with Jeff Glor at 7:50AM to see a special segment on the novel and an interview with me and my Oma about the real story behind the book.

  

• On Sunday, 8/11, you can catch me on NPR’s All Things Considered talking with guest host Pien Huang about writing a magical book full of eels and trauma and resilience.

• On Tuesday, 8/13, I’ll be at Greenlight Books in Brooklyn with writer Jason Diamond (RSVP if you’re coming!) to officially launch the book and kick off my events schedule — I’ll also be in New Hampshire, Portland (Maine), Princeton, Chappaqua, and a bunch of other cool spots over the next several weeks. • And last but not least, the deadline is TODAY to apply to join my Advanced Revision Strategies class in the Fall, offered through 92NY but there is still some room - apply here!

Writing is, on the one hand, a very solitary thing, and yet it really can't be done well without loads of other people… friends, family, publishing pros, neighbors, booksellers, librarians, and even total strangers.
